The Forum for International Trade Training

International trade is vital to the economic and social development of Canada. Since 1992, the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) has been building the capacity of Canadian businesses to successfully compete in world markets by expanding the skill base and competency levels of international trade practitioners. 

The complexities of international trade require individuals and organizations to have a thorough understanding of foreign markets, finance, negotiation, and trade policy. FITT's international trade training programs uncover and analyze the issues that importers and exporters need to be aware of in order to successfully attack and penetrate international markets.

As well as setting rigorous national standards in international trade training, FITT is the only organization in Canada to accredit a professional designation to international trade practitioners, the widely-recognized CITP (Certified International Trade Professional).

The Canada Export Centre was developed to promote and support Canada’s exporters by assisting the Canadian Government, various trade and industry associations and foreign consulates in Canada to capitalize on all the inbound trade delegations and business people by that come here looking for Canadian trade opportunities.
